Dr Patrick O'Donnell

Role: Research and Scholarship Coordinator

Patrick O'Donnell lecturers in Engineering Science and Technology and is an Associated Member for the ‘Institute of Northern Studies’, University of the Highlands and Islands. He is member of the University of Dundee Teaching Innovation & Learning Enhancement Network (TILE) and a regular peer reviewer for the Journal of Further and Higher Education. Patrick is also editor for College Area Investigation Research Network (CAIRN)  online Journal - a newly formed Journal (launched 2021) aimed at promoting and supporting research within Scottish further education. His research interests include: cultural and structural changes within the UK FE and HE sector; learner transitions; learning spaces; education policy formation, interpretation, enactment and impact; teacher professionalism; vocational education; curriculum design, history theory/interpretation and historiography.
