Colleges Research Network Journal

The first edition of the 'Colleges Action Inquiry Research Network' (CAIRN) journal has now been published and you can access this here.

CAIRN is a practitioner led and oriented research network for those working in the further, adult and vocational education sector in Scotland. The journal offers all those working in the sector the opportunity to share their practitioner-enquiry research with colleagues and to help shape future developments in the sector.

Whilst promoting high quality and rigorous practitioner-enquiry research the journal also offers a flexible, open and inclusive opportunity for all those in the sector to share and showcase the findings and insights from their own practitioner-enquiry research more widely. The Journal also welcomes contributions from stakeholders working in partnership with sector.

This first edition includes articles on classroom teaching innovations, reflections on student persistence, transitions, research methodology and a review of the support for colleges provided by the National Library of Scotland.
