Ian Robotham, Independent Board Member

Ian has over fifteen years working in Higher Education in technology focussed roles and is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen, where he currently works as an Assistant Director in the Directorate of Digital & Information Services.

He leads the Applications, Architecture, Data Centre and Infrastructure teams, comprising around 100 staff providing a comprehensive range of digital technology services including a portfolio of over 180 applications, a complex multi-campus/multi-country infrastructure environment of physical and virtualised services, and a shared data centre service with local partners.

Ian is a keen advocate for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, as well as Mental Health & Wellbeing, having supported a number of initiatives through his work and private life. He is currently Secretary for the BCS Pride Specialist Group and has previously volunteered for Haddo House Choral & Operatic Society and the British Red Cross.
