Ez Tabra, Independent Board Member

Ez joined the UHI Perth Board of Management in July 2026 as an independent member, bringing extensive financial expertise, strong governance insight and strategic planning experience to support the institution’s mission and long‑term sustainability.

A Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), with a Master’s degree in Finance, Ez has over 30 years’ experience across finance, budgeting, reporting, governance and project management. Much of his career has been rooted in mission‑driven sectors including higher education, research and healthcare, where he has helped organisations strengthen financial stewardship, accountability and resilience.

He has held senior leadership roles working closely with Boards and executive teams, providing clear financial reporting, rigorous analysis and evidence‑based advice to support informed and data driven decision‑making. He is known for his analytical approach, collaborative style, sound judgement and ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful insight for leaders and stakeholders.

Ez is a former President of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Qatar Chapter and a former Global Director of the IMA Governance Committee in the United States, reflecting his wider contribution to governance, ethical financial practice and the advancement of the management accounting profession.

He is deeply committed to Scotland’s higher education and non‑profit sectors and is motivated by the opportunity to support UHI Perth in strengthening governance, enhancing financial sustainability and ensuring resources are used effectively to deliver positive outcomes for students, faculty, staff and the wider community.
