Deborah Lally - Director of Student Experience

Deborah began her career through a Youth Training Scheme and has spent more than 30 years working in education across Further Education, Higher Education and the University sectors in Scotland and England.

As Director of Student Experience, she leads a diverse portfolio that includes Active Campus, Admissions, Customer Services and Residences, Student Funding, Student Services and Engagement, and Student Records.

Deborah is passionate about creating positive experiences for students and ensuring they have the support they need to succeed. She has a particular interest in using data and insight to understand performance, monitor progress against key targets, and drive continuous improvement across services. She is committed to widening access, promoting inclusion, and enhancing the student journey from application through to achievement.
