Kate has been lecturing at UHI Perth since 2017, teaching a range of subjects including Wellbeing, Core Skills, Study Skills and Employability to Schools/College Partnership, full time, and community students.

Kate has a BA in Sociology and a MSc in Outdoor Education and has concentrated on Health and Wellbeing throughout her studies. She is currently involved in delivering Personal Development and Emotional Literacy as part of the School College Partnership Curriculum. Kate delivers lots of creative, and often outdoor, lessons using flexibility and imagination to support and encourage students’ participation, achievement and positive learning experiences.

Kate said “I love working on this project, it’s great to see young people working creatively and supportively of one another, identifying their skills and best qualities, building confidence, managing anxiety, adopting healthy choices, and finding fun and peace through wellbeing activities that we choose together.”

Kate often works with vulnerable learners and concentrates on delivering with compassion and nurturing enthusiasm for person-centred ambition, supporting her students to reach their goals and feel emotionally well.
