Margaret Munckton, Principal of Perth College UHI said, ‘Roseanna Cunningham is one of our local MSPs and we wanted to welcome Roseanna to the College in her new role as Cabinet Secretary for Fair Work, Skills and Training.

The College has a vital role in skilling up and training the current and future workforce to ensure the success of our local, regional and national economy.

I welcomed the opportunity to share the College’s achievements and ambitious plans for equipping our students with the skills and capabilities for employment, career progression or starting their own business.

The College also shared with the Cabinet Secretary our success at becoming an accredited Living Wage Employer.’

The Cabinet Secretary met with students and staff in the Early Education and Childcare curriculum and was told about the partnership working between the College and local schools that will deliver the skilled and trained early education and child care practitioners of the future. School pupils can study child care qualifications at school and progress on to programmes at the College, all the way up to honours degree level.
