UHI Perth has proudly hosted its first Climate Café, bringing together attendees to explore climate change in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Held in the Library, the event offered a relaxed space for attendees to share ideas and discuss practical responses to the climate crisis. The session was designed to encourage open conversation and build a sense of community around climate action.

Jess Pepper shared insights into the origins of Climate Cafés and their role in empowering communities to take meaningful climate action. Stuart Matheson highlighted the importance of public engagement in Scotland’s journey to becoming a Net Zero Nation.

The event marks the beginning of a series of Climate Cafés planned for UHI Perth, with future sessions open to all staff and students. These gatherings will continue to provide a safe, inclusive space to talk, listen, and act—building resilience and hope in the face of climate challenges.
