University of the Highlands and Islands

content

The only university based in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, our partnership of 12 other colleges and research centres provide access to study at further and higher education level through the area, as well as research opportunities, serving local, regional, national and international needs. Each institution has its own character and contributes to the distinctive organisation that is the University of the Highlands and Islands.  In addition to the main campuses, our partnership also provides educational opportunities through a network of more than 70 learning centres located throughout the Highlands and Islands, Moray and Perthshire.

We make it easier for people to take part in quality higher education, from Higher National Certificates (HNCs) and Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) to degrees, postgraduate study, research and professional qualifications. Many of our courses take advantage of our region’s unique environment, landscape and culture. The university has some of the best online learning technologies meaning you can study many of our courses from home or work, wherever you are in the world.

If you are studying on a higher education programme offered by Perth College UHI you will be registered as a student with the University of the Highlands and Islands, which is a Scottish registered charity, number SC022228.
