Catherine Etri, Interim Principal and Chief Executive of UHI Perth said: “These results reflect the dedication of our staff and the ambition of our students. We are proud to see sustained improvements across all areas, and particularly to achieve record success rates that place UHI Perth among the strongest-performing colleges in Scotland.”
UHI Perth outperforms the sector average across the majority of subject areas, with particularly strong performance in: Sport and Leisure, Languages and ESOL, Special Programmes, Art and Design and Engineering. Overall, the college exceeds national benchmarks in 10 out of 13 subject areas, demonstrating breadth and quality across its curriculum.
The data also highlights UHI Perth’s commitment to widening access and supporting learners from all backgrounds. The college performs above the sector for: students from the most deprived communities; care-experienced learners and students with disabilities.
For courses lasting more than 160 hours, UHI Perth achieves a 78.3% success rate compared with 75.1% nationally, positioning it as a leading performer in its region.
Deborah Lally, Director of Student Experience shared: “We are particularly pleased to see strong outcomes for learners from a wide range of backgrounds. Supporting every student to succeed is central to our mission, and these results show the impact of that commitment.”
The college also performs above the national average across all age groups, reinforcing its role as a key provider of lifelong learning and skills development. Results show especially strong performance among adult learners, with students aged 25–40 outperforming the sector by 5 percentage points and 41+ exceeding the sector by more than 10 percentage points.
Across both full-time and part-time courses, UHI Perth continues to outperform national averages and remain competitive with top-performing colleges across Scotland.
These record-breaking outcomes come as UHI Perth prepares to welcome prospective students to its upcoming Open Day, providing further evidence of the high-quality teaching, support and opportunities available.
Deborah added: “These results are a powerful demonstration of what students can achieve at UHI Perth. We look forward to sharing this success with prospective students at our next Open Day.”
