Careers Fair Hailed an Outstanding Success
Major Careers Fair in Partnership with DYW and SDS
UHI Perth welcomed more than 400 visitors to its 2026 Careers Fair on Wednesday 4 March, bringing together 51 employers and support agencies from across the region for one of the largest employability events of the year. The event was delivered in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) and Skills Development Scotland (SDS).
Held in the Academy of Sport and Wellbeing at UHI Perth, the fair showcased a wide range of live opportunities including apprenticeships, full‑time and part‑time jobs, work placements, and volunteering roles. Attendees included local school groups, UHI Perth students, jobseekers, and members of the wider community.
Sarah‑Jane Urquhart, UHI Perth National Training Programmes and Business Team Manager explained: “The response to this year’s Careers Fair was exceptional. We were delighted to welcome more than 400 attendees and 51 employers — the strongest engagement we’ve seen since moving the event to align with Scottish Apprenticeship Week. The increase in Eventbrite registrations, the success of our promotional video, and the extremely positive employer feedback demonstrate the real value of bringing partners together in this way. We’re excited to build on this momentum for 2027. We thank everyone who helped make the event such a success.”
