  • Nick has a background in audio engineering and music production as well as composition. He has several album credits and some television and film work to his name.
  • Community education including resident music producer and sound engineer to Showcase the Street, the LUNA project and the Dundee City Council Arts Advocacy Project.
  • Nick's main field of interest these days is centred around archaeoacoustics, digital heritage and archiving and the analysis of acoustics heritage and archaeological sites.

Staff Spotlight

Nick has been at UHI Perth for over 20 years. Prior to this, he had a background in music production and recording arts. As a post graduate of ECA Sound Design, his practice and research have widened into an emerging field known as archaeoacoustics - the study of sound in heritage and archaeological sites.

As Sector Manager, Nick has many duties but is most knowledgeable about the programmes covered under Audio Engineering and the Theatre Arts courses.
