We are the longest established audio engineering department in Scotland and one of the first ever in the UK. Our reputation in industry is second to none. All of our lecturers have had successful careers in the audio industry, so you can be sure that you are taught by experts in their field.
Audio engineering has changed a lot recently, and our courses reflect this. We have recently introduced game audio to our portfolio as well as immersive audio in VR and in Dolby Atmos and 5.1, which complements our existing offerings in music production, live and broadcast events, and sound for TV and films.
Our facilities at the Perth campus are exactly as you would find when working in industry. We want you to have a successful career in industry, and we ensure that our courses give you the best chance to do so. You can join us either as a novice or experienced user and leave with an Honours degree in audio engineering.

From entry level NC Sound through to BSc (Hons), Perth College UHI provides modules in studio recording and production; live sound reinforcement; and sound design for film television and gaming/multimedia - to equip students for an ever-changing dynamic creative industy.
