Technical/Research interests
- Actively researching the techniques and applications of contemporary post-production sound design for film, television and the gaming industries, providing specialist support for undergraduates throughout the UHI.
Employment history
- For more than 25 years, Mike has actively worked within the sound recording industry.
- As owner and manager of ‘Seagate Recording Studios’ in Dundee for twenty years, Mike has worked with an extensive range of clients, from musicians to major industry corporations, with work primarily based around the recording and production of artists.
- Also in this time, he has worked for many other studios including ‘The Who’s’ world renowned ‘EEL PIE’ in London, in a recording and production capacity.
- Mike has also been involved in ‘Music Technology Education’, delivering a varied curriculum based around digital audio workstations and recording studios.
