Employment history

  • Dave has worked on numerous albums, movies, radio and TV productions. He has produced and engineered collaborative albums with members of the Smashing Pumpkins and Queens Of The Stone Age and recording sessions for Rufus Wainwright, Christina Aguilera and Texas.
  • Dave has also worked with legendary producers such as Andrew Loog Oldham (The Rolling Stones), Mike Platts (Bob Marley and The Wailers) and Jim Waters (Sonic Youth).
  • He engineered the BBC Radio One sessions for seven years recording bands like Biffy Clyro, Feeder and The Darkness.
  • He has produced albums that have received industry recognition such as a Mercury Music Prize Nomination (2006) and Best Blues Album (2001) at the British Blues Awards.
  • He has worked for many film companies including Paramount and Universal Pictures.
  • In television, he engineered on shows such as Still Game, Chewin' The Fat, Only an Excuse and Balamory and was also known as a voice-over artist on national TV commercials which he produced and scripted.
  • His other radio credits include programmes for BBC Radio 1, 2, 4 and Radio Scotland.

Dave Paterson was involved in the sound dub stages of the last series of the returned comedy Still Game, a show Dave has had a long association with as a sound dub engineer. This was followed late last year with some sound dub recording for Channel 4 productions which took place here in our own Eastlake studios. Dave has also been working on the latest album recording by local folk duo Mad Ferret.
