Students benefit from employers event

On Monday 12 November, Perth College UHI Food Studies and Hospitality students met with a range of local employers to gain a unique insight into how to secure their dream career.

The event was held at Perth College UHI’s Gallery Restaurant, and allowed students to meet with industry representatives from a variety of local and national businesses including: Beinn Inn; Murrayshall House Hotel; Salutation Hotel, The Mercure; Perth Concert Hall; Parklands Hotel; 63 Tay Street; Sodexo; Crieff Hydro; Gleneagles; SSE; NHS; La Sicilyana; Kenmore Hotel; the Courthouse and Leonardo Boutique Hotel, Huntingtower.


Ian Gibb, Food Studies and Hospitality Sector Manager at Perth College UHI, explained: “The event gives our students the opportunity to ask employers about the industry and its people, and how to gain a successful and exciting career in this rewarding growth industry. It’s been fantastic to welcome so many businesses to our campus today and I would like to thank them for taking the time to provide their valuable insight and advice to our students.”
