The project: ‘Continuous Professional Development for Teachers and Lecturers - Food and Drink Manufacturing in Scotland’ was supported by the Perth and Kinross Developing Young Workforce Regional Board and focused on building the group of educator’s knowledge of the dynamic and global supply chain involved in food and drink production.

Jennifer Thompson-Young, Perth College UHI Sector Development Director explained: “We’re delighted to have been recognised in these awards which are an industry benchmark of excellence. The initiative aimed to showcase the attractiveness of the sector as an exciting and relevant study option and career destination.

“We empowered the teachers and lecturers involved to enthuse their students and parents about the sector’s wide range of jobs and increasingly high-level STEM-based careers, ultimately putting Scottish young people ahead in employability opportunities.”
