The University campus has a range of meeting rooms available in a range of sizes and layouts, including a 107 seat dedicated Lecture Theatre and a 147 seat dedicated Performance Theatre.

Classroom

Cost: £25 per hour, £70 per half day, £110 per day

Capacity: Max x30 Classroom style

Notes: Variety of room sizes, which can be configured in various styles: Boardroom, Cabaret, Theatre, Classroom

Board Room

Cost: £100 per half day, £200 per day

Capacity: Max x20 Board Room style

Notes: A formal board room set-up, with AV, VC and teleconference facilities

Brahan Lecture Theatre

Cost: £150 per half day, £250 per day

Capacity: Max x107

Library Corridor (Table)

Cost: £10

Notes: This is an administrative/staffing (set-up) charge only

Small Room (eg 018A / 203 etc)

Cost: £12 per hour, £25 per half day, £50 per day

Capacity: Max 8, or less

Notes: No IT equipment

IT Suite

Cost: £180 per day

Capacity: Max x20

Notes: If hiring for the day: set-up charges:

  • IT Technician (for creating IT accounts - required): £42 +VAT (1 hour charge)

  • IT Technician (for launching/start-up & support throughout the day of hire): £42 + VAT (1 hour charge)

There is no VAT charged on room hire.

Hire of the Goodlyburn Performance Theatre

Other, potential costs:

Caretakers Costs (if outwith normal College opening hours)

Head Caretaker:

  • £40.00 per hour + VAT – time and a half
  • £54.00 per hour + VAT – double time

Caretaker:

  • £35.00 per hour + VAT = time and a half

  • £47.00 per hour + VAT = double time

IT Technician Costs (if outwith normal College opening hours)

Senior Technician:

  • £63 per hour + VAT – time and a half
  • £84 per hour + VAT – double time

 (Staff rates current at September 2022 and may be subject to change)

Facilities in rooms

All rooms have wifi access; most have either SMARTboards, PCs and Projectors, or Promethean Boards. There is no extra cost for this, unless a technician is required to assist (see costs above). 

Video Conferencing is available (additional charge for this, to be discussed at time of booking).

Flipchart stands can be provided if you wish to bring your own pads and pens.  If you would like us to provide the pads the charge would be £1.33 + VAT per pad.

Student Residences 

The residences are not generally available in the summer until around the last week of June.

The Residences are able to accommodate x69 maximum.

There are 14 twins and 40 singles.

All rooms are ensuite and self-catering.
