“Harnessing the resources and expertise in Perth and Kinross to realise sustainable economic growth”

EcoTechnic is a business network, operating in Perth and Kinross to:

  • support business to business collaboration
  • promote local goods and services
  • facilitate access to information, advice and best practice
  • support sector demonstration projects through our network

Our goal is to accelerate sustainable development throughout Perth and Kinross and help realise the benefits to the local economy, environment and society that sustainable development can bring through renewable energy, low carbon technology, resource management and other sustainable practices.

EcoTechnic is supported by the following key stakeholders: Perth College UHI, Perth & Kinross Council, Stagecoach, Energy Skills Partnership, Scottish Enterprise, Binn Eco Park, SSE, the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce and Tay Eco Valley.

The project was first launched in June 2013 as the Perth and Kinross Green Technology Business Accelerator (PKGTBA). It was then re-branded and re-launched in July 2016 as EcoTechnic: Clean Tech Perth and Kinross. Since its creation, PKGTBA/EcoTechnic have organised and facilitated a number of events including a series of events on small woodland management, green transport, circular economy and biomass. EcoTechnic are looking to develop further and organise and facilitate other events. We’d be interested to hear from businesses about the types of events they would like to see organised particularly around the theme of sustainability. Please contact EcoTechnic.
