"During the 2nd year of the Masters I was successfully appointed to the role of Mountain Safety Advisor with Mountaineering Scotland.  I have now been in this role for 8 years and thoroughly enjoy it.

There is no doubt that my studies assisted in my successful application and have proved valuable.  I find it really hard to quantify specific benefits; but what my studies did achieve, was upgrading my skills in analysis and written work.  Having the knowledge and 'kudos' of holding a masters also provided me with confidence when coming into contact with a variety of organisations and professionals in my current employment."
