Employment History

  • I am a professional artist and I exhibit my work nationally and internationally.  My work is held in many public and private collections.
  • I set up and run a company that delivers art teaching, community art workshops, and creativity and health and wellbeing workshops.  Clients include Dundee Contemporary Arts, Dundee City Council, Perth and Kinross Council, the University of Dundee and Art Angel Dundee.
  • I work as an Art Psychotherapist for Barnardo’s Child and Family Services.
  • I have lectured and tutored extensively within the higher education sector, including work at the University of the Highlands and Islands, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (University of Dundee).
  • I am a fully qualified Art and Design teacher and I have taught in Dundee schools.
  • Prior to undertaking formal art training I was a molecular biologist where I researched DNA capture for forensic applications.
