Robe hire

To receive your award on stage you must be wearing the appropriate Academic robe and hood, which you can hire from our official suppliers, Ede and Ravenscroft.

Please note:  A hat (mortarboard) is not part of the academic dress.

If you wear a hat to the ceremony, you will not be allowed to wear it onto stage and will be asked to remove it before you go on stage.  If you book portrait photography, you will also not be allowed to wear the hat for your photograph. The academic dress, which shows what you will be wearing on the day, is available to view, or download, in the Academic hood guide

Deadline

Please order your gown no later than 12 noon on 11 September through their website or by calling 01223 861854 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

The information pack you receive before the ceremony will include a time slot for collecting your gown and hood from Perth Concert Hall on the day of the Graduation.

Please bring the appointment letter on the day.

Academic dress

Our Graduation Ceremony is a formal, so please be smartly dressed (no jeans). This could be national dress, dark tie, dark suit, dark skirt or dress, white shirt or blouse.

Academic hoods are designed to hook onto the top buttons of shirts or blouses, so please remember that when choosing your outfit.
