Library
The Library provides a range of resources, facilities and services to support you throughout your studies. This includes access to academic books, PCs, laptops through our LapSafe cabinet, and a wide range of electronic resources.
As part of the University of the Highlands and Islands, UHI Perth students have access to thousands of e-books, e-journals and other online resources to support their learning, wherever they are studying.
Throughout your course, you will complete assignments and sit exams. The Library’s resources, facilities and services are here to help you find the information you need, develop your academic skills and achieve your best results.
UHI Perth students and staff may borrow up to 15 books on standard loan for up to 150 days. Items issued on standard loan may be recalled after two weeks if requested by another user. Recall, reservation and overdue notices will be sent to your student or staff email account.
A valid student ID via the myDay app is required to borrow materials from the Library. The person who borrows the materials is responsible for returning them on time.
UHI students and staff may borrow up to 15 books on standard loan for 4 weeks. Unless recalled, books will be automatically renewed an additional 2 times. Should you require more time, please speak to a member of the library staff to discuss your options.
Location
The Library is located across two floors of the Brahan Building.
On the first floor, you will find two quiet study rooms, an open group study room, a social space with soft seating, PCs and a remote IT Support chat desk.
The second floor contains another quiet study room, most of our academic books and additional PCs.
Both floors provide spaces where you can study, access Library resources and get support when you need it.
