Make a real difference in people’s lives with our Health and Social Studies programme. This course is designed for those who are passionate about supporting individuals, families and communities, and who want to build a rewarding career in health, social services and care sectors. 

You’ll explore key topics such as human development, health and wellbeing, social issues (with a focus on rural health), health care ethics, and the policies that shape care services today. Alongside academic study, you will develop essential practical skills including communication, teamwork, safeguarding awareness and person-centred care – all highly valued by employers.
 
This qualification opens doors to a wide range of progression routes, including careers in social work, healthcare, community work and mental health support, as well as further study at university level. If you’re motivated, caring, and ready to make a positive impact, Health and Social Studies is the perfect place to start your journey.
