What is special about this course?

This unit has been designed to enable the candidates to develop the knowledge and skills required to perform men's haircutting and finishing services for a range of clients using clipper cutting techniques and tools.

The course runs for 17 weeks, 5pm to 7pm each week in the Retreat Salon

Please ensure you have the following equipment: - 

Essential equipment 

  • Scissors
  • Cutting Comb
  • Texturing Scissors
  • Electric clippers with attachments 

Suggested equipment 

  • Cutting collar
  • Mini neck trimmers
  • Smart black clothes/uniform to be worn in the salon

The fees for the course must be paid in full before the course starts to secure your place. 

You will learn the techniques, tools and methods that are needed to carry out a gents cutting service whilst taking account of influencing factors and health and safety recommendations.
