What is special about this course?

In a changing and dynamic world of work, employers tell us that our young people need to demonstrate flexibility and resilience in order to prepare for the unknown; that attributes matter as much as qualifications.

This course will help prepare you for the world of employment by developing your digital skills, self-management skills, your ability to connect with yourself and others, as well as undertaking a short placement to prepare for the world of work.

Entry requirements

You should have 3 x SQA units at Level 4, and or demonstrate the ability to work at Level 5.

An NC in Personal and Vocational Skills at Level 4 could provide you with direct entry.

Your application, interview and a reference will also form part of the interview process.

You must be able to travel independently or make your own arrangements for travel.

 

You will study core and essential employability skills and have the opportunity to gain useful awards, such as:

  • Manual handling
  • First Aid
  • Customer Service
  • Food Hygiene

This course may be right for you if you are looking for further qualifications, experience and the confidence to progress into the workplace.
