What is special about this course?

NC Childhood Practice aims to equip you to work effectively in a range of care settings with a variety of service users. You will gain an understanding of the values and principles of childhood practice and learn how to integrate those values with the necessary skills and knowledge.

It will teach you to work effectively in a range of childhood practice settings with children and young people, using the skills they acquire to perform as effective workers.

 

 

 

Four National 5 qualifications, including English at C or above or have successfully completed the NQ Play work and Childcare course.

Prospective students without the standard entry requirements are encouraged to apply and will be considered on an individual basis

This is a Category 1 PVG course: PVG Scheme membership is required to successfully achieve target qualification, where there is guaranteed contact with vulnerable groups in key elements of the course. For further information, visit here.

Experience in a relevant setting or similar work, either in a voluntary capacity or as an informal carer can be beneficial but not a requirement

Most full-time students will have their fees paid.

Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.

What can I do on completion of my course?

This qualification will provide you with the appropriate requirements to register with SSSC as a support worker.
