There are several ways in which we collaborate with businesses.

Funding

The Scottish Funding Council offer a number of funding programmes, which are administered by Interface, to offset the cost for businesses collaborating with Scotland's universities or further education colleges to develop new products, services and processes through R&D projects.

All Scottish Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are eligible for these funding streams. SMEs require an academic partner to apply, if you do not have an academic partner the Interface Business Engagement team can help to identify one.

The Flexible Workforce Development Fund is open to Scottish Levy Paying Businesses and allows us to work with you to upskill your workforce.

Projects

Groups of students regularly work with businesses and organisations within our local community. This benefits both the organisation and the students. If you have a project that you think may be suitable, please email heather.boag.perth@uhi.ac.uk

Placements

Work Placements for students allow them to experience what life is like in their chosen career path. It also allows employers to see the calibre of our graduates and the skills that they have, both industry specific and transferable. If you are interested in finding out more about student work placements, please email heather.boag.perth@uhi.ac.uk
