Academy of Sport and Wellbeing Virtual Guided Tour
If you’re interested in a future in the sports industry, there’s no better place to learn than at Perth College UHI.
Our 2021-22 plans for the Sport, Fitness and Outdoor Curriculum are that we are open for access to facilities and support, subject to Scottish Government guidance. We are looking forward to welcoming you into the Academy of Sport and Wellbeing, Perth College Climbing Centre and our key partner venue Willowgate Activity Centre in September 2021.
We are preparing the gyms, sports hall, fitness studio, S&C studio, climbing centre and sports therapy clinic spaces. We anticipate learning will be different from this year, as it is likely there may be a proportion of courses that will be delivered online (in particular for theory based units and modules) in addition to on campus. All of our courses are likely to be 'blended' in nature - with a mix of live learning (online live lessons with lecturers or face to face on campus) with a very small number of degree modules being online (can be done at anytime). This creates a flexible course structure that results in students attending in person and participating online. This approach provides the flexibility to adapt to any future guidance or tier changes, whilst giving our students the very best on-campus experience possible.
Students will also be able to make use of the campus for study spaces, library, student support and access to other services and support.
We work in close partnership across the sector with a number of professional/governing bodies of sport including: Badminton Scotland, Netball Scotland, Basketball Scotland, Scottish Hockey, Cricket Scotland, Scottish Volleyball, Scottish Canoe Association, Scottish Football Association and Mountaineering Scotland, Sports Massage Association, Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation, ACTIVE IQ, CIMSPA and RLSS UK.
