Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for NQ Music however entry is subject to Audition, interview and diagnostic written test. As a SQCF L6 course you are expected to have writing ability of L4; there are written assignments that you will undertake for your modules and units.

On application you will be asked to attend an audition and selection process which will give you the opportunity to see our campus, meet staff and learn more about the course.

The selection process will demonstrate the resources and learning opportunities we offer to support your development.

As part of the interview process, you will be asked to perform a piece on your chosen instrument.  We suggest you pick a piece that demonstrates your skillset on your instrument or voice, and for writers, this can be an original composition or song. The instruments we currently accept for NC are vocals; guitar; bass; drums; keyboards and/or piano.
