Access to Humanities (SWAP) NQ

What is special about this course?

This innovative course has been developed in response to the increased demand for flexible learning for those who are returning to learning after more than three years away.

You will study from home towards an award that will see you progress to degree level studies.  So, the time has come to ask yourself - have you been out of education for a few years but are motivated to unleash your academic ability and go to study at Degree or HN level?  This is the course for you.

This course is a SWAP (Scottish Wider Access Programme) which supports adults, ordinarily resident in Scotland to return to education after a gap. It will help you to develop the skills you need to progress into Higher Education, to a wide range of HNC, HND and degree level courses. It will provide you with great academic credibility and prepare you for your HN or Degree journey. This course does not restrict you to Social Science Degrees, UHI Perth SWAP students are enjoying careers in Law, Social Work, Teaching and Event Management.

If would like to find out more about SWAP, and see what progression routes are available, you can view more information here. The SWAP East Team can also answer any specific queries that you may have: swap.east@ed.ac.uk
