This complementary and holistic therapy course will provide you with a broad understanding and knowledge across a range of well-being therapies such as massage, healthy eating and their benefits to making natural remedies and learning about basic skills in Wellness Therapies. This course encompasses a large practical element whilst promoting self-directed study and developing employability skills. You will work in our salons within ‘The Retreat’ at the Academy of Sport and Wellbeing which provides a realistic working environment therefore giving you valuable practical experience.
This course is suitable for a wide range of candidates from school leavers to adult learners who express an interest in learning about complementary therapies.
A minimum of three National 5’s or equivalent Standard Grades.
NC Beauty Care and Make up (SCQF Level 5)
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older at the start of the course.
Those with relevant life experience will also be considered if they do not have the relevant entry qualifications.
This course is delivered over a year and covers many of the key subjects needed for a career in Wellness Therapies:
Face to face teaching; practical hands on; independent study; online support materials
Most full-time students will have their fees paid.Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
