NC Engineering Systems Level 6 is for those who want to progress to studying either Engineering or Aircraft Engineering. This course will give you the academic skills and experience to progress to Higher Education. You will learn the principles of engineering in mechanical and electrical disciplines. You will gain some experience and knowledge of the oil and gas sector and on-shore and off-shore renewable energies.
You will be invited to discuss your application with us but a qualification at SCQF Level 5 in Maths and Physics or equivalent will be essential. Your application and interview will form part of the selection process. You can progress to this course from NC Engineering Systems Level 5.
You will study subjects including:
Face to face teaching; practical hands on
Most full-time students will have their fees paid.
Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
You can progress to HNC level study in Aircraft Engineering or Engineering Systems or into employment.
The NC Engineering Systems award will enable you to progress to further training or into employment in the engineering industry. The engineering sector is an important and expanding area of the national economy in sectors including, oil and gas, on-shore and off-shore renewables and manufacturing. Successful completion of this course will give you the opportunity to pursue employment in these sectors, seek further training through securing employment and a Modern Apprenticeship or continue on a more academic path leading to a career path in engineering continuing up to degree level and beyond.
