Gateway to Science Highers will provide you with a first step back into education and allow you to ease into studying in preparation for progressing towards your career choice. The course can be a bridge to Highers, helping you to make the transition to higher levels of education with confidence and success.
Gateway to Science Highers contains core subjects including English, IT and Maths and also offers a range of science subjects at National 4 and National 5 to satisfy your future needs.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, a science subject up to SCQF Level 4 is desirable and you should be able to demonstrate a clear interest in pursuing a career in this field. The selection process will include a discussion of your application at interview and you may be invited to do a short test.

Face to face teaching, practical hands on; independent study
Most full-time students will have their fees paid.Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
Completion of the Gateway to Science Highers course will allow you to move on with confidence to courses such as Highers for HE, Access to Science, Access to Nursing or other NC courses run at the College.
With Gateway to Science Highers you will have the firm foundation to build on your skills and knowledge at more specialist level study in the subject of your choice.
