What is special about this course?

Higher maths is an entry requirement to many University courses, including those in Science, Medicine and Engineering.  This course is a distance learning course, where you will access your course materials through the VLE and work at your own pace, as directed and supported by your tutor. 

Entry requirements

Applicants are required to have demonstrated understanding and knowledge of maths at National 5 (or equivalent) level.


You will study a range of mathematical topics such as trigonometry, calculus and quadratic theory, building on your previous study in mathematics.  The course will be assessed by the final exam set by the SQA.  Higher maths is a challenging and fast paced course

Most full-time students will have their fees paid.

Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
