What is special about this course?
This unit is a selection of entry level pick and mix units. Designed for those with little previous knowledge, these units will allow you to develop skills and knowledge in the areas that are most relevant for you, whilst potentially working towards further recognised qualifications
There are no entry requirements
Learn how to use simple tools and techniques to find information on the internet and send and receive email messages with appropriate support and guidance when needed.
There are three learning outcomes to this unit. At the end of the course you will be able to:
- Use an online IT system to meet needs
- Search for and use internet-based information
- Use e-mail to communicate and exchange information

Most full-time students will have their fees paid.
Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
What can I do on completion of my course?
Once completed and achieved you will have a recognised qualification - Level 3 Award Online Basics
You my be able to achieve additional units to achieve Level 3 Certificate for IT Users, to do this you must complete the following mandatory units:
- IT User Fundamentals;
- Using Email;
- Using Internet
Plus any 4 of the following units:
- Word Processing Software
- Spreadsheet Software
- Presentation Software
- Desktop Publishing Software
- Database Software
