What is special about this course?
Future Ready is designed for learners of all ages who are looking to get in to work or further study.
The course provides a first step into a range of learning and employment sectors – all opportunities will be individual to each student.
The course is geared towards living, learning and working in your own community and will be delivered in Highland Perthshire, Pitlochry, when restrictions allow. Applicants from other areas may apply, as the current online aspect of learning will widen opportunities for participation
There are no entry requirements. Course interviews will be held online, or by phone if required.
This 17 week programme has been designed to help you consider your next steps and build the skills to be successful in your chosen pathway.
- Employability, Volunteering and Vocational Tasters will help you to make informed choices and prepare you for applications.
- Personal Development units will enable you to recognise your strengths and build the transferable skills required for success.
- Core Skills will help you gain the essential skills required for life, learning and employment
- All students will have a loan of a laptop and a dongle, if required, to enable them to participate in online learning
How will I study my course?
Online, although any face to face delivery possible will be in Pitlochry.

18 hours per week

Most full-time students will have their fees paid.
Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
What can I do on completion of my course?
Upon completion, students may wish to moving into further study (level 5 courses at Perth College UHI), apprenticeships or employment.
