HNC Coaching and Developing Sport

What do you think about the style of teaching and the support you receive from tutors and lecturers?

I like the teaching styles a lot and the support is on top form - nobody is too forward, and it allows you to ask any questions. The lecturers are there to offer support, which is greatly appreciated.

Have you been involved in any sports, social or cultural clubs or activities whilst at the university?

People have come together to try and form a girl’s football team, so if this goes ahead I will hopefully join this.

Have you undertaken any student placements?

As a part of a module, I went to Perth Academy PE department for a work placement.

What career direction would you like to take after studying?

Possibly into a year of placement or, after graduation, I might find the perfect job that suits me and I will be able to make use out of my qualifications.

How do you feel your studies will help you in your career progression?

Studying allows me to gain more knowledge and allows me to put out stepping-stones and will guide me to what I want to do with the help of my PAT and other lecturers.

What advice would you give to those considering studying?

Don’t be scared to try something new and always have your options open.

What are your favourite things about Perth College UHI?

The facilities - gym, library, sports hall, and equipment. The lecturers are easy to get along with and supportive and they give me many opportunities. It’s also close to home.

Anything else you feel like telling us about your experience at Perth College UHI?

It’s helped me gain a lot more confidence with meeting new people and it’s given me a helping hand with the career path I want to take.
