This course is targeted at school pupils whose first language is not English and whose current level of English language proficiency may hinder their progress onto Further Education (FE) courses.
Students will learn the skills they need for further study in the FE sector.
The course will develop general English language skills and also cover specific skills needed for success in FE.
Students’ language skills will be developed by identifying what is requires in an assignment; writing clearly and concisely; expanding topic related vocabulary; enhancing listening skills; and pronunciation work.
