I have taught at UHI Perth since 2014 as a part time lecturer. I have lectured in numerous courses in both HE and FE and lately the Foundation Apprenticeship.

I am a registered General Nurse and Nurse Independent/Supplementary Prescriber with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Having worked in the NHS for over forty years, in many different roles (midwife, practice nurse and diabetes specialist nurse), my passion is to share my experience and knowledge I have gained over the years.

My academic career has taken me from my Nursing Degree at Dundee University, Masters in Diabetes from Warwick University, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Qualification (TQFE) from Dundee University.

Having left school and completed a pre-nursing course at Cardonald College in early 1970’s, I am determined to demonstrate and support how education can open many doors for those eager to learn and meet their goal to become a health or social care professional.
