The aeronautical industry requires high calibre engineers at every stage of the product life-cycle, from conceptual design through to in-service support.

Studying in the Aeronautical and Aircraft Engineering department at Perth College UHI will prepare you to meet the ever-growing need for engineers in this innovative and progressive sector. Aeronautical Engineering is a strategically important industry for Scotland with companies such as BAE Systems and Rolls Royce employing people in high skill, high-paying jobs.

Our Aircraft Engineering courses offer a range of academic qualifications. Our staff have specialist knowledge across the breadth of aeronautical disciplines with backgrounds in industry, academia and the armed forces.

We also carry out research and consultancy, previously working with the Force India Formula 1 team. Specialist equipment in classrooms and workshops supports teaching through practical activities. We have a functional aeronautical hangar that is equipped with wind tunnel, flight simulator, light aircraft and aircraft engines.
