Counselling services

If you are feeling low, confused or stressed, it might help to use the counselling service. You can ask to discuss anything that is troubling you, from stress at College to mental health issues and even personal relationships. This free service is open to all students and delivered in a safe and confidential environment with a qualified and impartial counsellor.

Due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions the counselling team are working online.  To make contact please email or contact the counsellors direct using the email addresses.

Drop-in sessions

If you want to find out more about counselling and if it is for you, then why not pop along to one of our drop-in sessions.

In this environment you can discuss what's troubling you and explore your support options.

Online sessions

The University of the Highlands and Islands also has access to an online counselling service, find out more about this service here.

Scheduled sessions

After you have attended a drop-in session or made contact to our counselling email you will be added to the counselling waiting list for a scheduled series of appointments. You will be contacted by one of our Counsellors as soon as an appointment becomes available.

You will have up to 6 sessions, each 50 minutes long. Within this time we will explore the problems you are experiencing, decide what you want to get from the sessions, help you answer your own questions and take better charge of your life.
