About this course
About this course
This course is aimed at young people who have a desire to study the Social Sciences at this level and above. The contemporary world seems to be in crisis and young people might think it will not be easy for them to change things. The study of the Social Sciences does not only help us understand some of the awful things going on like: Climate Change; War; Immigration; Terrorism; Poverty; Addiction; Serial Killers and Sexual Violence but also this qualification will give you avenues, and motivate you, to help change things for the better.
Completing this HNC as part of your school timetable will be a highly useful addition to your qualifications and will provide entry to second year of degree supporting a quicker pathway through degree and into employment.

Students will work towards a 15 credit HNC studying on: Psychology; Politics; Sociology; Criminology; History and Research Skills
HNC Social Sciences is an excellent standalone qualification with transferrable skills that will lend themselves well to jobs in the Criminal Justice System; Research; Policy Analysis; Uniformed Services; Campaigning; the Trades Union Movement; Public and Civil Service.
