About this course
Access All Areas (NPA Music Business) is the course you need to get ahead in the fast and exciting music industries. Studying at the largest music centre in Scotland, at UHI Perth, you will gain real practical experience developing the knowledge and skills required to progress onto the Music Business BA Hons at UHI Perth and/or employment within the music/ creative industries.
You will gain invaluable experience in creating and running gigs, working with bands, running festivals, attending music industry events, running social media campaigns and developing record labels. You will be taught by our well connected tutors who are active in the music industries and our extensive music industry speaker programme that has included Universal Music, Keith Harris (Stevie Wonder’s Manager), BBC Radio One, Frightened Rabbit and many more.
This course offered something which wasn’t available at my school. This course is helpful and informing me well about the music industry. My favourite thing about this course is working with lecturers who were in the industry, and I now have first-hand experience. After school I am thinking about a career in fashion design or music. In you are interested in a similar career this course is really helpful, lets you know what to look out for and gives you tips for navigating around the industry (e.g. the Musician’s Union).

This course is aimed at S5/6 pupils. There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you will be invited to attend an interview to discuss your application.

Students who successfully complete the NPA will be able to progress to HNC Music Business (subject to interview).
