About this course
About this course
This course is designed to provide a taster of working within the hairdressing industry. The pupil will gain an awareness of health and safety salon procedures and develop basic practical skills, knowledge and understanding required for a hairdressing apprenticeship or for progression into future hairdressing courses. They will also gain transferable employability skills required for the workplace.

You will undertake the following basic hairdressing skills:
• Shampooing and conditioning hair
• Blow drying hair
• Pinning hair-up

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you will be invited to attend an interview with a member of College staff to discuss your application.
