Nursery Receive Response from Queen’s Palace
The Perth College UHI Nursery staff and students hear from the Lady-in-Waiting at Buckingham Palace after they had sent The Queen a birthday card.
The College Nursery held the birthday card competition March 2016 for The Queen’s 90th birthday. Although there were many contenders, Andrea Lausin won the competition and her card was sent to The Queen along with a lovely message.
Depute Nursery Coordinator, Maureen Ward explains, “The staff and students were extremely excited about receiving the response from The Queen’s palace. We are really delighted to receive the letter, the children had a great time designing the cards and we are very proud of their achievements.”
Some of the response reads:
“The Queen wishes me to thank you for your splendid card and for the message which you have sent on the occasion of Her Majesty’s ninetieth birthday.
“Although unable to reply to you personally, The Queen was very touched to hear of the care you have taken to make your cards for her and Her Majesty greatly appreciates your kind words.”
