January 2021 return update

From Tuesday 5 January, mainland Scotland moved to a temporary lockdown.

The latest announcement from the Scottish Government is to Stay at Home.

We are continuing to communicate with our students in relation to how this temporary lockdown will impact on their studies. We are considering the best way of balancing the current guidelines whilst being able to deliver for all of our students. We are doing everything we possibly can to support our students and help them succeed in their course, while protecting our communities. To enable this, the vast majority of learning and support activities will continue to be delivered on-line until end of February 2021. The library will be closed until 31 January.

Staying strictly within the guidelines, from 1 February, we will begin to deliver very limited face-to-face teaching and support activities. We are currently assessing what is essential within the guidelines and we will contact students directly affected.

As you will appreciate this is a very fluid situation and we will ensure changes continue to be communicated in partnership with HISA.

We have a range of support you are welcome to access.
