Important Information - Action Short of Strike (Industrial Action 2023)

Due to ASOS (Action Short of Strike/ Industrial Action 2023), some student results may not be recorded at this time. We want to reassure you that this will bear no detriment to your learning journey. This means that by exception for academic year 23/24 we will be offering progression onto your next level of study.

Below is our guidance on what is on offer to you:

INTERNAL STUDENTS

Further Education (NQs, NCs, NPAs)
We are offering all our FE students automatic progression to the next level.
 
Higher Education (HNC and HND)
We are offering all our students an automatic progression to the next level, whether that is progressing from HNC to HND, HNC to Degree, or HND to Degree.  However, it should be noted that if you have any resits, these will still need to be achieved next academic year.  This will ensure you have gained the right number of credits for certification, future certification and graduation.  If your tuition fees are funded through SAAS (Student Award Agency Scotland), or any other funding body, it is your responsibility to ensure you will still be eligible for this funding and any future funding.

NEW TO UHI PERTH – CONDITIONAL OFFERS

If you currently have a conditional offer:

• For those awaiting Higher or any other National Qualification results (e.g. National 5s)
  Once your result has been released from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) on 8 August 2023, we will be in touch soon after with your offer;
• For those awaiting any other SQA certification (e.g.  NC/ HNC / HND)
  We will automatically convert your offer from conditional to unconditional.

This offer is based upon trust that you have passed your qualification or are transparent about any resits required.

This will ensure you have gained the right number of credits for any future certification and graduation and ensure that you are aware of any potential additional costs.
