What is special about this course?

This course will allow you to develop your knowledge and skills in relation to business and also gain an understanding of the importance of accounting within an organisation.  You will develop skills in recording key financial information and also in how to interpret management accounting information.  Alongside this you will be looking at how an organisation works and the contribution that business makes to the wider economy.

Entry requirements

You should have Communications at SCQF level 4 or equivalent and either Numeracy, Life skills Maths or Maths at SCQF Level 4 having completed 4 years of secondary education.

Your application and interview will form part of the selection process.

Most full-time students will have their fees paid.

Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.

What can I do on completion of my course?

On successful completion of the course, you may be able to progress to HNC Accounting or HNC Business.

This qualification should equip you to apply for roles such as trainee or junior accounts assistant or a clerical assistant.
