Ready 2 Work Access

What is special about this course?

Ready 2 Work is a 12 week, full-time course, designed for 16-24 year olds to provide you with a range of useful skills which should improve your chances of getting the job you want.

Entry requirements

There are  no formal entry requirements for this course, but you will be invited to discuss your application with a member of the team and must be able to demonstrate the ability to work at SCQF Level 3, also knows as Access 3.

You must also be ready to take on the responsibilities of employment, including an extended work placement.

You may be entitled to a weekly allowance and travel, subject to your attendance.  Please contact us for eligibility for funding.


You study:

  • Learn how to write a CV, application forms and letters;
  • Get into a work routine and be motivated for work;
  • Understand interview techniques and employer expectations;
  • Take part in team building and problem solving;
  • Undertake an extended work placement
  • Skills Development Scotland (SDS) certificate of work readiness accredited through SQA

Students on part-time courses may also be eligible to have their course fees waived.
